A contemporary abstract artist whose work explores the beauty in mixing color, textures and other mediums to create unique pieces that can be thought provoking,

inspiring and visually transformative.

MY JOURNEY:

A native New Yorker, I spent most of my life working and living in the city that never sleeps.  Professionally, I began with tech and moved into marketing and product development in the beauty industry. I moved on to build, own and operate my dream business, The Loft Dance & Fitness, a multi-cultural community that focused on fitness and fun. My son and I relocated to Boca Raton in 2014 and I became a soccer mom while I obtained my Real Estate License. South Florida's beautiful landscapes inspired me to pick up a paint brush and small canvas. I got hooked.  Through persistence and the willingness to explore new mediums and techniques, doors are opening and I am grateful everyday. I still sell real estate but painting has become my escape and form of meditation.

FINDING MY VOICE AS AN ARTIST:

If I were asked which medium I gravitate to most - alcohol inks, acrylics, or textured mediums - I would have to say all of them.  I resist limiting myself to a single style; just like my previous professional career.  I thrive when challenged.  The beauty of painting is that there are no limits other than the self-imposted boundaries we set for ourselves.  When I approach a canvas feeling free to explore, something beautiful always emerges.  My ultimate challenge has been knowing when to walk away, as the perfectionist in me wants to critique. I have ruined many pieces of art but in that lies the learning. In the end the real joy of painting for me is when one of my pieces touches someone, whether its the design, colors, or a memory, it's my way of contributing to humanity.  "Love what you do and never work a day in your life".  Today, I am fortunate in that I truly love what I do.
